Patricia (Trish) J. Villano is a sole practitioner Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Prior to establishing her own practice, she served as an accountant in both public and private sectors, working for various firms including Deloitte and Touche LLP, as well as in the capacity of controller for private corporations.
Patricia received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics and Statistics from Cook College/Rutgers University (New Brunswick, NJ) and a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Fairleigh Dickinson University (Teaneck, NJ). She is a member of the Delta Mu Delta National Honor Society in Business Administration and has completed extensive graduate coursework at The American College (Bryn Mawr, PA). Patricia has been awarded an AEP® (Accredited Estate Planner) designation as an estate planning and estate taxation specialist from the NAEPC. Patricia is a member of the AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants), NJSCPA (New Jersey State Society of Certified Public Accountants), NSA (National Society of Accountants), NATP (National Association of Tax Professionals), the Estate Planning Council of Bergen County, and the GNJEPC (Greater New Jersey Estate Planning Council). She is frequently quoted in various periodicals and websites regarding tax-related and financial issues. She has contributed to the "Tax Mailbag" and "Investment Mailbag" columns of The Record, Northern NJ’s largest daily newspaper, and has been a keynote speaker for the Bergen County Bar Association and the NJ Statewide Women’s Financial Literacy Conference. Trish has also conducted business seminars for local New Jersey organizations, has been a featured guest on The Sunday Financial News Hour radio show and has served as a panelist on the cable television program, Tax Talk.
As President of the Bergen Chapter of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants, Patricia was only the third woman to be elected to this post since the inception of the NJSCPA. Prior to her presidency, she served consecutive, one-year terms as Director, Secretary, Treasurer, and Vice President of the Bergen Chapter of the NJSCPA. She also chaired the Bergen Chapter Federal and State Tax Committee for many years and was a member of the Chapter Operations Committee.
Patricia J. Villano currently serves as an "Instructional Specialist" of Taxation and Accounting at the Feliciano School of Business at Montclair State University (Montclair, NJ). Prior, she was an adjunct professor in accounting, finance and statistics in undergraduate and graduate programs at Fairleigh Dickinson University (Metropolitan Campus Hackensack, NJ), William Paterson University (Wayne, NJ), Dominican College (Blauvelt, NY) and St. Thomas Aquinas College (Sparkill, NY).
Trish loves to read and is an avid fan of the New York Yankees and New York Jets.
